Here are my top 3 tips for creating a cosy autumn vibe in your home:

1. Think of the autumn outdoors

Think of all of those lovely earthy autumn tones like burnt orange, deep rich reds and earthy deep brown tones. You don’t have to totally redecorate, you could just bring these colours in with some homeware accessories like rugs, throws, vases, tableware and cushions.

2. Think cosy

Think of adding lots of different cosy textures. This could be a chunky knit sofa throw, a soft shaggy rug or velvet cushions. That way you are bringing lots of cosy textures and adding comfort at the same time.

3. Warm & Cosy Lighting

This is a really quick and relatively cost-effective way to bring some added cosy comfort. Try adding different light options to bring warmth like a floor lamp, candles or a dimmable table lamp to add layered light rather than a stark overhead light.

You don’t necessarily have to buy new lighting; you could just change the bulbs in your existing lights to a warmer option.
