Is it just me??

I complain about having no time and then I get time and get instant panic on how I “need” “must” make the very MOST of this free time 😂😂

Maybe making a drink and staring in to space should be a productive use of time?? Not sure it will catch on! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m a big believer in just going for it, and of

I’m a big believer in just going for it, and of late that’s been my motto.
I’m pivoting my career and learning a new skill of surface pattern design and a life long dream of having a creative career. It’s just the beginning but I’m trying not to let the voice of doubt to creep in, but that’s not always easy!

It took me months to finish this upcycled wardrobe piece, lack of time being the biggest obstacle. I used a bought stencil for some bits and then I created my own stencil and then did the leaves by hand, so a bit of a mixed bag but I think it’s looking ok….

It’s taken me what feels like an eternity but finally I’ve finished hand painting my upcycled wardrobe! It’s totally transformed the space and I’m happy it’s bringing in some extra colour into the room 🎨

You don’t need to do it alone! The more people I speak to the more I realise how much of a pain interior overwhelm can be. Like, what colours go with what? Will that colour work in the space given the lack of light? Do I need to think about the colours of the other rooms at the same time so it all flows? Is there really more than one version of white paint, surely white paint is white paint?? 🤯😂

I don’t know the secret to happiness but since I started to be creative again I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s totally had its challenges, learning a new skill and trying to find the time around the kids but it’s progress and hopefully one step closer to fulfilling my dream of having a creative career
