Interior Inspiration – Colour Splash

living room makeover ideas

Incorporating bright colours into your space can be a bit daunting sometimes but it doesn’t have to be. Fancy a bit of a change but don’t know where to start? Here are some living room makeover ideas that I am hoping will give you a little creative inspiration.

Creating a moodboard of images, styles and colours you like is a great place to start. A makeover doesn’t have to mean start from scratch, have a look around the room that you want to do up and pick key pieces that you definitely want to keep and that should give you a good starting point.

This colour splash scheme is a mix of bold colours softened by the dusty pink back drop of the walls and grounded by earthy terracotta tones and black highlights.

Navy Blue and Pink are a beautiful combination. Dusty Pink on the walls is a perfect shade of not too Pink. The accessories offer a great way of bringing texture and colour, like the shiny gold of the vase and beautiful textured weave of the mustard throw.

Grounding accents of Black in the coffee table, print and sofa legs bring the whole scheme together.
